The apartment is located in an 18th century barn which has been renovated to a high standard by the owners to create a beautiful property which perfectly balances rustic charm, and modern convenience with a touch of luxury.
Exposed beams, intricate stonework, beautiful original wood hand-crafted by local carpenters are balanced with modern comforts such as a high quality bespoke kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linen and soft furnishings, underfloor heating, and well-chosen décor offering a homely feel.
Located just 200m from a modern high-speed ski lift and 300m from a ski bus, the apartment offers a highly desirable location in the picturesque hamlet of Vercland, Samoëns. A popular restaurant and bar opposite the lift, and our recommended ski hire partner at the top of the lift offer maximum convenience. Despite this, Chalet Rufo - Apartment 2 remains a short drive from Samoëns village, where endless year-round amenities, and attractions await.
A real highlight is a the 9m2 private terrace which offers stunning views over the valley, including the pyramid shaped Pointe de Marcelly.
The property has the environment at its core with a heat pump providing efficient underfloor heating in winter, and cooling in summer. The renovation project used 60% original wood, and a high level of insulation makes for a cosy stay!
Chalet Rufo - Apartment 1 can be combined with Chalet Rufo - Apartment 2, located directly above, to create one 4 bedroom property sleeping up to 12 people.
Breakfast deliveries can be provided by the in-resort property management company, and a mid-week clean is included in the weekly price.
Please note that the Vercland ski lift is subject to a closure date one week prior to the Samoëns ski lifts, with a replacement ski bus service in place to the Samoens telecabine.
This property is privately owned and has been carefully selected to be in Alps Accommodation’s premier portfolio. It has a Sunday changeover day, however in low season and for last-minute bookings, flexible arrival day and length of stay may be available. Contact us for more information.
Chalet Rufo - Apartment 2 is entered via a large ski and boot room with a staircase leading to the entrance. Upon entering, you are drawn towards the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, where light floods in from doors and windows on two aspects. The bespoke kitchen offers a 4 ring hob, full size dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.
In the living area, a comfortable sofa and delightful rustic coffee table are positioned before large windows which give beautiful views down the valley.
You will also find an EV charger next to the parking area, please bring your own cable and charging card.

Chalet Rufo - Apartment 2 provides one delightful bedroom featuring a comfortable double bed and quality linen and soft furnishings. Recycled wood has been used extensively to give a warm and welcoming feel, while a hand-crafted built-in wardrobe provides great storage space.
Directly opposite, the modern bathroom offers a shower, sink with vanity unit and towel radiator. A separate WC is available.
Chalet Rufo - Apartment 2 offers a fantastic 9m2 private terrace which affords stunning views to the south and west over the Giffre valley towards Pointe de Marcelly. It is the perfect spot to enjoy spectacular sunsets with friends.
A large ski locker with boot warmers is available and is ideal for storing skis, outdoor equipment, or several bikes. Clients also have access to a washing machine.
One private parking space is available with further parking directly opposite the property.

Alternatively, hop on the ski bus a mere 300m away, linking Vercland to Samoëns, Morillon and the rest of the valley and its many sites and attractions.
In summer, you will find numerous nearby hiking and mountain biking trails. Road cycling enthusiasts can test themselves with the challenging ascent to Samoens 1600 or tackle the famous Col de Joux Plane, a Tour de France staple.
Just a short 5-minute drive away are the historic streets of Samoens or Morillon. Explore the quaint villages packed with boutique shops, bars, and restaurants, while marvelling at Samoëns ' stunning Jaÿsinia Botanical Gardens and historic medieval square, or enjoy wonderful views at Samoens and Morillon’s alpine lakes with surrounding activities.
