The stunning Chalet 75 offers guests the ultimate in luxury alpine holidays. This individually designed 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom chalet, sleeping up to 12 guests, is fully equipped with all you need to make the most of your summer or winter holiday. With an already impressive 160m2 of living space, the chalet boasts generous outdoor living space including two terraces and two balconies. From its enviable, south-facing position just above historic Samoëns, the small and peaceful front terrace affords views over the village and along the Giffre valley toward Sixt. Or enjoy complete privacy on the upper 27m2 terrace, situated to the rear of the chalet. Here, you can sit back in the outdoor lounge, surrounded by nature and enjoy the views down the valley as you soak the day’s stresses away in the hot tub. Guests to the chalet also benefit from the use of their own private sauna. With all its modern comforts and tasteful décor throughout, Chalet 75 is a truly divine location to spend your holiday.
The chalet is a 2-minute drive to the heart of the village of Samoëns and to the Grand Massif Express lift, where you will find ample parking. Alternatively you can walk to and from the village in 15-20 minutes walk via the road, or a picturesque path that takes you past the botanical gardens and Samoens' chateaux. Our recommended ski hire shop has lockers available on the piste, so if you prefer you can leave your equipment behind at the end of the day. A private locked garage provides storage for skis and bikes, while car parking is available in front of the garage and in the public spaces opposite the chalet.
For Spring, Summer and Autumn holidays, the chalet provides direct access to many alpine walking trails. The chalet also holds prime position for cycling fans. Mountain bikers will enjoy the many nearby trails and for road cyclists, a stay at Chalet 75 will not be complete without conquering the famous Col de Joux Plane, which can be accessed directly from the chalet.
It is our delight to announce the addition of Chalet 75 to our portfolio. This privately owned chalet has a Sunday changeover day, however in low season and for last minute bookings, flexible arrival day and length of stay may be available. Contact us for more information.
Chalet 75's owners played an integral role in the design of this stunning chalet and their passion and flair for interior design is evident throughout. Each quality fitting and furnishing were carefully chosen by the owners to reflect their own personal tastes and experiences from a life lived largely abroad. There are subtle hints of a time spent in Japan. Unique, funky art and light fittings are a mix of Europe and Asia, and clean, fresh lines throughout speak modern American. Together these features ensure a truly special feel to the chalet, as do the added luxuries of a sauna and hot tub.
A defining feature of Chalet 75 is the glorious, open-plan living, kitchen and dining space that takes up the property’s entire second floor. Look out onto stunning views over Samoëns and the Giffre valley through floor to ceiling glass doors and windows that cover much of the living space of the chalet’s upper level. In one corner is your very own bar. Perched upon the stylish, leather bar stools you can enjoy an aperitif while taking in the view. The log burning fire, for those cosy nights in, is surrounded by deep and comfy sofas. Sit back and enjoy a film on the large Ultra HD, fully Wi-Fi enabled Smart TV. Wi-Fi Internet is of course also available throughout the chalet.
The stylish design of the kitchen, with its neutral tones, self-closing cabinets and drawers, and built-in, carousel shelving units, is every modern chef’s dream. It is a practical and efficiently used space that provides plenty of lovely quartz work surfaces and storage options, as well as the added safety feature of zero sharp corners or edges on all worktops. The kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar, full-sized fridge/freezer, electric oven with multiple settings, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, Magimix Nespresso machine, and all the equipment, crockery and utensils you could possibly need. There are even two fondue and raclette sets for the budding chef who wants to try their hand at some traditional fare. There is a fully-extendable, solid wood dining table that provides ample seating for 14 people, ensuring the most memorable of meal times will be shared by all. In the warmer months you can retire to the front, south-facing balcony after dinner to soak up the alpine atmosphere. Or why not take a dip in the hot tub, located on your completely private rear terrace, which is also accessed from the second floor.
Due the chalets elevated position, it is necessary to climb 2 sets of stairs to reach the entrance hall on the ground floor. The subtle tones and décor of this luminous space making you feel immediately at home. To the left of the entrance corridor is a large cloak/boot room with ample hanging space, and shelving for all your winter and summer knick-knacks. Straight ahead and to the right is the first of five bedrooms, this one an ensuite double. An additional shower room and toilet is also located on this level, as is your very own sauna with in-built music system. The utility room with separate washer and dryer is also located on the chalet’s ground floor.
Head up the stairs to the first floor where you will find the remaining four bedrooms, each individually decorated in its own unique way. At the rear of the chalet you will find a comfortable bunk room with full-sized bunk beds, and an additional double-bunk room, which sleeps four in two sets of full-sized bunk beds. The two bunk rooms share an adjoining bathroom on the first floor landing. We first came to Samoëns in 2005 and knew immediately that it would become a special place for our family. We don't get to spend as much time together here as we would like, but nevertheless think of it as 'home'. We have designed and chosen the furnishings for Chalet 75 as if it were for us. We hope you love your time here as much as we do! Linda and family.
