Chalet Bézière

The chalet is accessed via one of two entrances, both just off the large, private parking area. A few steps lead to the main door, through which there is a small foyer where you can leave your shoes in the rack provided. For convenience in the winter months, enter via the large, heated boot room on the chalet’s lowest level. Here, there is ample space for skis, a heated boot warmer and plenty of hooks for all your coats. This level is where you will also find your luxurious sauna, which has its own bathroom with WC and shower just next-door. The guest laundry, with separate washer and dryer, is located in the utility room just before you go upstairs into the main chalet. The laundry is shared with the chalet owner and it not suitable for children.

Step in to the main house and immediately feel a sense of space. Light floods in through the many windows, brightening the already fresh space before you. The superbly equipped kitchen is immediately to your left, to your right the first of 5 bedrooms and straight ahead, the well designed main living and dining space. This space allows for distinctly separate dining and lounge rooms while maintaining the natural flow of an open-plan layout.

The dining room is a bright and cheerful space, seating you in colourful designer chairs. It’s surrounded by windows on two sides and opens out onto a large, balcony overlooking the garden and down the route to Sixt and into the village centre. The lounge area enjoys 270-degree views of the mountains and the Giffre Valley. A wood-burning fireplace is a central feature and there is plenty of comfortable seating and deep sofas. A widescreen satellite TV with both French and English channels, DVD player, Wi-Fi, bluetooth speaker and a selection of books and games provide great entertainment.

At Chalet Bézière you’ll be able to cook like a professional, with the spacious kitchen equipped with everything a budding chef could possibly desire. There is an induction hob, 2 electric fan ovens with microwave and grill, full-size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and an enormous variety of cooking items, including ice-cream maker, fondue set, and raclette set. A second large fridge/freezer is available in the utility room.

All throughout the house an eclectic mix of artwork hangs on the walls. The varied styles along with other unique features like antique skis, wall decals, glowing wall lamp, and stylish, soft furnishings really add to Chalet Bézière’s overall cool vibe.

Chalet Bézière can sleep up to a total of 16 guests and boasts 5/6 styled and spacious bedrooms. Beds are made up with cotton sheets, feather & down pillows and duvets, with the option of synthetics for allergy sufferers. White cotton towels are also provided.

All the bedrooms have newly renovated ensuites. A 6^th bathroom with WC and walk in shower is located on the ground floor by the sauna. Each bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and matching bedside tables with lamps. Hairdryers are also supplied in every room.

Bedroom 1 is a twin room and is located on the chalet’s first floor. It is a south-facing room, with a sunny disposition and views over the chalet’s garden.

Upstairs and to the left is bedroom 2, the family suite, a great space offering three sleeping areas over two levels. On the lower level is the first sleeping area with 2x single beds, and the ensuite bathroom. A wooden staircase leads to the upper level, a vast space that has been divided into 2 separate bedrooms – one with 2x single beds and the other with 1x double bed. These 2 rooms are separated by a walkthrough wardrobe/dressing room, which has ample hanging space and room to store cases. For families travelling with infants, a cot is available as well as a baby-gate that can be fitted at either the top or bottom of the mezzanine staircase.

Adjacent to the family suite is bedroom 3, a twin room with 2x single beds. Bedroom 3 and the family suite both provide access to the chalet’s second level balcony, with views of the impressive Criou peak above Samoëns. Across the landing are bedrooms 4 and 5, both south-facing rooms that overlook the garden. Bedrooms 4 & 5 both have 1x double bed and 1x single bed, sleeping 3 guests each.

Chalet Bézière offers guests a wonderful outdoor setting in which to pass some of their holiday time. The chalet is situated on a corner plot and has a shallow stream running along the property’s western fence-line. A rock wall and hedgerow on the eastern border provides privacy and security from the road. The vast and sunny garden, with its flat lawn and shady fruit trees is a fabulous place for kids to play and guests will love the above ground swimming pool open in the summer months. Outdoor dining is also possible, with a BBQ available for your use and a large picnic table by the pool. Be sure to help yourself to the raspberries when they’re in season too. There are also cherries and apples! The chalet itself has two balconies, both with views of the Criou. The larger balcony, which leads off the dining area, features a table and chairs. Plenty of private, off-road parking is available for guests in the chalets’ large bitumen drive, and electric vehicles can be charged using your own EV charging cable and a standard external electrical socket.

Please note there is a small independant self-contained apartment that the owners keep for their own very occasional use.
