Chalet Esse is a lovely detached chalet with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, sleeping 10 people in space and comfort over an impressive 160m2. The chalet boasts a large open lounge area with comfy sofas and a unique suspended fireplace. Just off the lounge is a games area with table football, and vast array of board games, cards and books for the family to enjoy. A full size table tennis table is also available for guest use, perfect to set up on a warm summer's day.
Located in a quiet position the chalet is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Samoens and all its amenities. In winter the ski bus stop is just 50m away and the ski lift 10 minutes walk from the chalet. If you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift. In summer the chalet has a good sized sunny garden with terrace, BBQ, a table tennis table and stunning views.
Private parking for several cars is available, while bike and equipment storage is possible in a large locked garage.

Enter the chalet to its huge open plan living, kitchen and dining area spanning the full length of the property's lower floor. A unique suspended fireplace provides a central focal point. The quality kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, raclette and fondue sets, and plenty of work space. It benefits from an island unit with further preparation space and breakfast bar. Leading off this is the dining area for 10 people with two French doors providing access to the surrounding lawns. The lounge area has three large comfy sofas plus two additional single-person loungers, so plenty of space for everyone to relax after a day in the mountains. There is also a table football, table tennis, Smart TV (with English & French channels), DVD player with DVD's, a Sonos Bluetooth speaker and Wi-Fi.
On the ground floor there is a large entrance lobby with plenty of space for outdoor wear, plus a utility room with washing machine and drying area as well as a WC. There is also a shower room with stylish mosaic tiles, sink, WC and large corner shower. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are provided for guest use.

Stairs lead from the living room to the upper floor where you will find the chalet's four bright and spacious bedrooms. The king size bedroom features two chests of drawers, hanging space and a large sky light. Across the hall is the quad bedroom with four single beds. This room is plenty large enough to suit adults or children alike, and provides access to the chalet's upper balcony. The adjacent super king size bedroom also benefits from this lovely south facing balcony, with the fourth bedroom a charming twin bedroom with large built-in wardrobe. Two of the property's three bathrooms are located on this level, each equipped with sink, WC and bath with shower attachments. The third bathroom, a stylish shower room, and additional separate toilet are located on the ground floor. Two hair dryers are available.
A cot and high chair are available on request.
The chalet's single car garage provides ample storage space for bikes and other equipment. There is plenty of private, off-road parking at the front of the chalet. Regarding charging of electric cars, you are able to park your EV close enough to the property (or in the garage) to use your own EV charging cable and standard electrical socket within the property.
A flat and sunny garden space surrounds the property and can be enjoyed at all times of the year with external table and chairs for 10 people, a BBQ and deck chairs.
The superbly located Chalet Esse is situated in a quiet neighbourhood a mere 5-minute walk from the village of Samoëns. Its peaceful and yet convenient setting make it an ideal choice for year-round, alpine holidays.
The chalet’s vast lawn and proximity to the river and nearby forest is every nature lover’s delight, and yet you are never far from the convenience of village life. An easy, 5-minute walk leads you straight into Samoëns with its many shops, bars, restaurants, beautiful gardens, and medieval square, which features a stunning church, ancient buildings and of course the bustling Wednesday morning market.
During the winter months the stop for the free ski bus is just 50m away, guaranteeing quick and easy access to the main Grand Massif Express lift and our impressive skiing domain. Another favourite winter activity is ice skating and the newly built 600m2 ice skating complex is only about a 10-minute walk from the chalet. When snow coverage permits, the vast Nordic ski domain can be accessed almost directly from the chalet.
In the summer months, guests can access a number of walking and biking trails immediately upon exiting the chalet. Take a 5-minute stroll along the nearby Clevieux stream and find yourself on the banks of the Giffre river. Or explore one of the many nearby forest trails. The Grand Massif Express lift also operates throughout July and August, giving guests access to even more hiking and biking options.
No car is required at this chalet due to its convenient location, but if you do plan to drive be sure to take a trip to Sixt, just 10-minutes up the valley. Here, you can immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of the Cirque du Fer a Cheval, a national park renowned for its many waterfalls and hikes.

We are farmers from Norfolk with 4 children. We all love skiing/boarding and stumbled across Samoens by chance whilst looking for a property in Les Gets. We were shown the field sectioned into plots and told there was 1 left. We then built Chalet Esse with the aim of making it a real home for family and friends. We love the all year round appeal of Samoens, the market, restaurants and the really friendly people. We have spent so many happy holidays here with lots of skiing, fun, food and not forgetting the Genepi! We hope you will find this a home from home and have an amazing holiday.
