Chalet Marguerite

Occupying the upper two levels of a stunning alpine property, Chalet Marguerite is accessed via a single flight of stairs. Step inside this impressive accommodation and be blown away by the sheer space and beautiful open-plan layout before you. Light floods in through a combination of floor to ceiling glass sliding doors and large windows, all providing magnificent views over the Giffre valley and surrounding mountains.

To your right is the spacious kitchen, expertly fitted with central, granite-topped workspace and breakfast island, wall length granite work surfaces, full size electric oven plus additional combination oven/microwave, induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer with water dispenser and ice-maker, two dishwashers, corner larder and additional built-in pantry, plus ample below bench storage units. Coffee fans will love the Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother, while master bakers will appreciate the vast array of loaf tins, cake and muffin moulds, and charming traditional weighing scales. The kitchen is of course stocked to perfection with all the crockery, cutlery and utensils, glass and bakeware you could possibly need, as well as the local raclette and fondue machines. Dine with a view at the solid wood dining table, which sits aside large glass windows. Or fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco. The outdoor dining setting affords a quiet position in one corner of the chalet’s large south-facing balcony, also equipped with a comfortable outdoor lounge. A second, smaller south-facing balcony is found on the chalet’s upper level, another ideal spot to take in the stunning scenery.

Back inside, a stylish corner sofa looks out through floor to ceiling glass sliding doors at the same delightful views. Continue into the main lounge space and relax in front of the fire in the huge corner sofa, over-sized leather beanbag, or additional chair with footstool. A large 120cm Smart TV, DVDs and Blu-ray discs for use in the first of two Xbox One's, as well as two bluetooth speakers, are all provided for your entertainment. Wi-Fi internet is also available throughout. One of four ensuite bedrooms is located off the lounge, and the chalet’s central wooden staircase leads upstairs to the three remaining bedrooms, and chillout zone with cosy games corner for the children, table football, and TV with the second Xbox One and a selection of games.

Chalet Marguerite also benefits from a hot tub with mountain views, and barrel sauna located to the rear of the house, where the chalet gardens flow into the woodland behind. These facilities are shared with the downstairs apartment. A shared storage room with heated boot warmers is found on the lower level of the property, accessible via a private and secure internal staircase. Guests at Chalet Marguerite also have free use of the enormous private utility room with separate washer and dryer and ample storage and hanging space for coats and walking boots. Off-road parking, including a space in the covered garage fitted with communal ski locker is also available.

Chalet Marguerite boasts 4 stylish ensuite bedrooms, subtle individual design features providing each its own unique charm.  Custom-made curtains compliment the soft throws and cushions perfectly, and wall-mounted electric radiators ensure warmth and comfort throughout. All four bedrooms are fitted with only the highest quality items, from the individual furnishings to simply divine bedding and towels, guaranteeing your cosy night’s sleep! Heated towel radiators in the 4 ensuite bathrooms provide an extra touch of luxury.

Bedroom 1, a spacious king room located on the chalet’s entrance level, occupies the western rear corner of the house. Fitted with a triple built-in wardrobe, guests will have all the space they need to unpack and really feel at home. A stylishly modern chair sits in the corner and the bedroom’s ensuite bathroom features shower, WC, and single basin vanity unit.

Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are all located on the chalet’s upper level.

Bedroom 2, a lovely south-facing super-king room, affords stunning views across to the slopes and mountains of Samoens and Morillon.  A built-in wardrobe provides ample storage space, with additional drawer space available in the cleverly designed bedside tables. The ensuite bathroom features shower, WC and single basin vanity unit. On prior request this room can also be configured as a twin, with two single beds. 

Bedroom 3 is a charming twin room overlooking the gardens and forest to the rear of the chalet. A large and elegant chest of drawers plus additional wooden coat rack provide ample storage space, and the bright and spacious ensuite bathroom features separate bath and shower, WC and single basin vanity unit. On prior request this room can also be configured as a super-king room.

Bedroom 4 is located just along the hall and affords the same lovely views over the gardens and forest behind the chalet. This calming space is fitted with a large chest of drawers and small built-in wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom features shower, WC and single basin vanity unit. On prior request this room can also be configured as a twin, with two single beds. 

Located on the upper two floors of a stunning alpine property, Chalet Marguerite’s two balconies afford stunning views over Samoens and the Haute Giffre valley. The entrance level balcony wraps around the chalet’s full south-facing frontage and is the perfect place to relax in the outdoor lounge. Or fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco while enjoying the fresh mountain air. A small outdoor dining table and chairs is provided. The upper level south-facing balcony, equipped with two additional outdoor chairs, provides the perfect hideaway to simply sit and take in the spectacular scenery. Enjoy the same impressive views from the hot tub, which is shared with the apartment downstairs. The shared barrel sauna is located to the rear of the house, where lovely communal gardens extend seamlessly into the forest behind. Chalet Marguerite benefits from one covered garage space in the double garage with adjoining ski locker. Additional off-road parking is available to the front of the property.
