Chalet Maya is a stunning 8-bedroom, 5-bathroom luxury chalet, designed to offer supreme comfort and style in one of Samoens' most desirable locations. Spanning an impressive 290m², this spacious chalet accommodates up to 17 guests, making it ideal for large groups or families. Just 100 meters from a modern ski lift and pistes, it offers the perfect base for both winter and summer adventures.
The chalet’s modern design blends sleek, contemporary elements with the warmth and charm of a traditional Alpine chalet. High-quality wood finishes create a welcoming, homely atmosphere, while the open-plan layout enhances the sense of space and flow. The comfortable living area, complete with a cosy log burner, seamlessly connects to a generous dining area with a large table - perfect for group meals. The fully equipped kitchen caters to all your culinary needs, whether you’re preparing a quick snack or a gourmet feast.
Enjoy stunning views of the dramatic Criou peak from the excellent outdoor areas including huge terrace, covered balcony and a luxurious hot tub.
Chalet Maya offers an ideal location with the modern Vercland ski lift just 100 metres away, enabling quick access to the Grand Massif ski area. Many locals prefer this lift for its minimal queues, allowing for a more relaxed start to their ski day. Snow permitting, you can ski down the red piste to within 100 meters of the chalet, with recently installed snow cannons improving snow coverage. Alternatively, you can take the lift back down the mountain. Guests can also take advantage of free ski lockers at our recommended ski hire shop located at Samoëns 1600, opposite the top of the lift.
For the summer months, Chalet Maya offers easy access to a network of scenic hiking trails, including one leading directly to the Grand Massif Express lift, which operates during the summer. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the lift and a further 5 minutes to Samoëns village centre. The chalet is also well-situated for mountain biking enthusiasts, with a variety of routes starting nearby.
A vast boot room provides excellent storage space for outdoor equipment and bikes, and includes one heated rack for drying ski boots, and a second heated rack for gloves and helmets.

Chalet Maya features 8 spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms split over three levels, each furnished with high quality and wonderfully comfortable beds, and premium linens and soft furnishings.
Located on the second floor of the chalet is bedroom 1, the master bedroom. An impressive and very spacious room, it features a luxurious king-size bed, large leather sofa and two chairs, TV with Playstation 3 (you will need to bring your own games), and covered balcony with deck chairs offering fabulous views. Nestled in the beautiful eaves of the chalet, this self-contained space is a haven for those looking for a quiet space to relax and unwind. Two large wardrobes provide excellent storage space.
Also located on this level, bedroom 2 is a cosy twin bedroom which has access to the same covered balcony shared with bedroom 1. A wardrobe provides great storage space.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 share a large family bathroom on the same level with a large shower, full-sized bath, ‘his and hers’ sinks, and WC.
The ground floor hosts a further 5 bedrooms.
Bedrooms 3 & 4 are lovely ensuite twin bedrooms boasting an almost identical configuration. Both rooms have large sliding doors providing a light and airy feel, and give direct access to a huge terrace. In both ensuite bathrooms is a shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC. Built-in wardrobes provide excellent storage space.
Bedroom 5 is a spacious double room, which again provides direct access to the ground floor terrace, gardens and hot tub. A wardrobe provides ample storage space.
In bedroom 6, bunk beds are provided, as well as an extra pull-out bed to allow for flexible sleeping arrangements.
Bedrooms 5 & 6 share an adjacent family bathroom with shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC.
Bedroom 7 is a comfortable ensuite double room which provides direct access to the ground floor terrace and hot tub. In the ensuite bathroom is a shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC. A built-in wardrobe offers great storage space.
Bedroom 8 is a mezzanine style bedroom located above a large utility area and boot room and accessed by a set of stairs. The room is furnished with twin beds, TV and games console making it equally useful as a bedroom or snug.
Nestled in a peaceful cul-de-sac, Chalet Maya offers a fantastic mix of outdoor space with expansive balconies and terraces that span multiple levels, ideal for enjoying the stunning surroundings.
The open-plan lounge and dining area seamlessly flow onto a covered balcony, where a large dining table invites you to enjoy meals outdoors, no matter the season.
Stairs from this balcony lead down to the ground-floor terrace, where a generously sized table and ample seating create an ideal setting for alfresco dining. The highlight of this terrace is the modern hot tub, which features jets, blowers, and even fountains, ensuring ultimate relaxation. Accessible from the balcony or via a door from several ground floor bedrooms, this terrace provides plenty of space for children to play and explore.
The chalet includes a large utility area/boot room, in which you will find two separate heated racks - one for boots and one for helmets and gloves. The room also provides excellent storage for equipment and multiple bikes.
Private parking for up to four cars is available, and for electric vehicle owners, you are able to park your EV close enough to the property to use your own charging cable and standard electrical socket within the utility area.

For those wishing to explore the valley, a ski bus stop can be found 100m from the property, with a free service running all day and into the early evening to Samoëns, Morillon and the rest of the Haut-Giffre valley.
For après-ski, the local bar and restaurant, La Reposette, is just 100 meters from the chalet. As one of the most popular in the valley, it offers a cosy setting with a log fire, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
In the summer months, Chalet Maya offers direct access to a wealth of hiking and mountain biking trails. Road cyclists will enjoy the challenging climb up to Samoëns 1600, or a scenic ride down to the village and across the valley to the famed Col de Joux Plane.
For those wishing to explore further, the Grand Massif Express lift operates during the summer, providing easy access to higher-altitude trails for walking, biking and sightseeing.
Samoëns village, around 2km from the chalet, can be accessed easily by car or on foot via a walking trail. It offers a fantastic selection of shops, bars, and restaurants, along with an ice rink (seasonal), and the picturesque Jaÿsinia Gardens, outdoor swimming pool and village lakes. The historic town square is home to a beautiful church, charming ancient buildings, and a bustling weekly market.
Chalet Maya is also conveniently located just 1.5km from Morillon, offering even more shops, restaurants, and the stunning Lac Bleu, where visitors can enjoy a range of leisure activities.

We have been skiing in Samoens with our children family and friends and fell in love with the small Hamlet of Vercland. Our 2 boys loved the skiing and Tobogganing whilst they were young. Now they are teenagers they love the array of skiing which is great for families as it caters for skiers of all abilities. There are the fast slopes in Flaine, the off-piste slopes around Sixt, the gentle amble to Lac de Gers to enjoy the breath-taking views and the frozen lake. The locals add a really warm feel to the region and Vercland has a nice small village feel but has the benefits of a lift being very close. La Reposette offers a good family après ski destination as well as being able to dine out at Le Boule de Neige, all just 50m from our Chalet. What more would you need form a skiing holiday!
