La Covagne - 0033 (0)4 50 98 58 49. Located on the edge of Lac Bleu in Morillon this restaurant has one of the best views around! It offers a great selection of local dishes, steaks, salads and more. It also boasts a cosy bar inside, while in summer there are plenty of deck chairs and sofas outside.
La Puzze - 0033 (0)4 50 90 12 06 - Located near to the cable car station, the restaurant offers a varied menu with English speaking staff. It is also the headquarters of the Antoine Deneriaz Fan Club devoted to Morillon's ski champion!
Le Yeti - 0033 (0)4 50 90 11 39 - Basic rustic decor, serving large portions and offering good value dishes. Great pizzas (evening only) eat in or take away.
Le Bon Coin - A small bar with local atmosphere often has live music. Best for après ski as right opposite the main lift.
La Reposette, Vercland - Dutch run this restaurant provides a warm welcome, a large log fire, and some great home cooked food. Very reasonably priced with a cool vibe and a great bar area for those wanting a bit of après ski. Grand Cret, Vercland - A scenic 45-50 minute walk from La Reposette restaurant in Vercland (and with the same owners), enjoy stunning views and fantastic food surrounded by nature. La Crémaillère, Taninges - 15 minutes drive from Samoëns is this lovely restaurant overlooking the Lake Flerier in Taninges. Excellent cuisine, full of new flavours and combinations, worth the travel time. Website - Tel 0033 (0)9 83 23 23 58

All the restaurants are located in the centre of Morillon Les Esserts or at/near the bottom of the Sairon piste. They all serve local Savoyard dishes as well as their own specialities, and are mostly open throughout the day for drinks and nibbles.

In the village of Samoëns, bars and cafes are open during the day and in the evening they offer light snacks, snacks and drinks. The village is not renowned for its nightclubs (luckily!), but there are several popular bars to visit! If you like English beer or Guinness, you have to try the selection at the bar “Covey’s Irish Pub”. The pub stays open until the early hours of the morning.
If you want to do your shopping before you arrive in the village, there is a Carrefour hypermarket in Cluses open from 8.30am to 8.30pm, closed on Sundays. www.carrefour.fr Telephone: 0033 (0)4 50 98 26 73.
Another supermarket, Carrefour between Samoëns and Morillon is open from 8:15 a.m. to 7:50 p.m. Monday to Saturday, closed from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. for lunch. In the village center, there is a small supermarket, open 7 days a week (closed at lunchtime). To discover local products – cheeses, charcuterie, jams, dishes to cook and gourmet gifts, do not hesitate to visit the charming gourmet shops in the village of Samoens. During the ski season, most shops are open even on public holidays (Christmas and New Year's Day). Out of season, it is best to check the opening hours.
