In winter, children from 3 years can join the Kindergarden at Samoens 1600, or 'Jardin des Neiges' as it is also known. This is a designated fun area created for your child’s first holiday on skis, allowing them to learn the basics in preparation for ski school in a safe environment at Samoens 1600. Children are also accepted into the standard French ski school ESF in Samoens from 3 1/2 years. Booking is recommended particularly during February.
Moving carpet style lifts make it easier and safer for young children to return back up the slope - plus the main one is covered too, to keep the snow and wind away when making your way back up the slopes!

During the winter ski season, Morillon 1100 Les Esserts offers The village des enfants or children’s village, a winter nursery and day care centre for children aged from 6 months to 10 years old. It is able to accommodate up to around 65 children and is open all winter. For more information and to make a bookings please do so online directly with the Morillon Tourist Office.

Zig Zag also have a great program for young children called Tiny Tots. Their instructors offer intimate one-on-one sessions designed to get children aged between 3 to 6 years of age up and skiing with a smile. With a gentle and friendly approach, their primary aim for children this age is to teach them to love to ski, because they realise that if they’re enjoying their ski holidays then you’ll enjoy yours!
