Lou Caboëns

Great food and stunning views over the Samoens valley from huge windows inside, or from the sunny terrace. Located just behind the top station of the Grand Massif Express gondola, its perfect for end of day refreshments!

Restaurant L’Aero

Hidden in a quiet corner of the Samoens 1600 plateau and offering wonderful views, its location couldn't be better. A simple but delicious menu is on offer, as are a selection of cocktails. Website

Au Pré d'Oscar

A self-service restaurant with bar, serving all the favourites. A huge terrace offers stunning views and hosts some excellent après ski and DJs. Website

La Luge a Teran

A great value cosy restaurant with a wide ranging menu, dining in front of the log burner. A lovely location on the blue Dahu piste, at the base of the Gouilles chairlift.

Le Montana 1842

Offering a rustic feel, log burner, and wonderful panoramic views from its elevated position on the edge of the red Marmotte piste.  If you love cheese, this Swiss style restaurant is the place to visit. Website

La Reposette

A popular choice offering excellent food, a log fire, and a wonderful family atmosphere. Located at the base of the Grand Cret piste in Vercland it's the perfect place to grab a morning coffee or a few après ski refreshments. Website

Le Croc Blanc

That hunger inducing smell on the Tete des Saix is the smell of the excellent crepes served up at Le Croc Blanc. A sunny terrace offers staggering panoramic views.

La Gamelle

Open winter and summer this cheerful little eatery serves breakfast, lunch, drinks and coffees. Located just opposite the top of the Vercland telecabine, it’s the perfect spot to relax with a snack and watch the paragliders take-off. Be sure to check their website for late opening times and special events. Website

Grand Cret

A scenic 45-50 minute walk from La Reposette restaurant in Vercland (and with the same owners), enjoy stunning views and fantastic food surrounded by nature. In winter, it is easily accessible from the 'Grand Cret' piste which descends from Samoens 1600 to Vercland. Website

A great restaurant located directly opposite the Vercland gondola at Samoens 1600. Enjoy local favourites such as potato beignets, diots, and raclette, BBQ's as well as pizzas and local wine and beer. Or simply stop in for a drink and take in the fantastic views and sunshine from the outdoor seating area and listen to regular live music. Website

Le 1600 Cafe

Located opposite the Grand Massif Express and the nursery slopes of Samoens 1600, this new cafe is ideally located! Find sandwiches, quiches, hot dogs, as well as coffees, beer and a great sunny outdoor seating area with excellent views over the pistes of Samoens. Website

Le Chalet

Great friendly service, yummy food and maybe the best hot chocolates in the Grand Massif? There's a log fire for the cold days and a big terrace for the warmer, sunny days. Located at the top of the Sairon piste and accessible to non-skiers via the Sairon chairlift. Formally known as Le Chalet d'Clair. Website

L'Igloo

Expect excellent, reasonably priced food and a friendly service at L'Igloo. A huge terrace gives fantastic views over the slopes of Morillon and Samoens. Located on the popular green piste of the Marvel and therefore easily accessible to less experienced skiers. Website

La Combe

A good family restaurant with a varied menu and excellent location at the foot of the Sairon chairlift. So easily accessible for non-skiers. Open lunch and evenings summer and winter.

La Cashta

Simple, tasty food in a great location on the Sairon piste in Morillon. The sunny terrace is a great place for a quick coffee break, or to meet up with non-skiers who can access it easily.

Restaurant Les Servages

Generally regarded as one of the best restaurants in the Grand Massif, this one is perfect for those looking for a special lunch or evening meal. Located at the foot of the Timalets piste. Website

L'Anfionne

Simple, delicious food on the sun-bathed slopes of Les Carroz. And it also just happens to be located at the top of the excellent Timalets piste. Website

Le Chalet des Molliets

A great selection of fish dishes along with the local favourites. Located towards the bottom of the Molliets piste.

The Milk Hotel

High quality food and wine at one of the more expensive mountain restaurants in the Grand Massif. But it's worth it! A great position at the foot of the Timalets piste. Website

Le Blanchot

A great location on one of the most fun pistes in the Grand Massif, the Serpentine. You can either take your place at a table and order from the excellent menu, or grab something quickly from the snack bar and get back on the slopes! 

Le Desert Blanc

Good food and an excellent sunny terrace at the very top of the Grandes Platières. You'll be hard pushed to find a better view of Mont Blanc from anywhere in the Alps.

La Pente á Joules

Fabulous food and great, friendly service and a buzzing atmosphere. There is also a snack bar available on the large terrace, where you will often find live music. Located towards the bottom of the Epicea piste. Website

L'Epicea

Simple, tasty food with great friendly service. Located on the beautiful tree lined Epicea piste.

Le Rouet

Bar and restaurant located on the peaceful and family friendly slopes of Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval. Surrounded by towering peaks, it has an excellent sunny terrace overlooking the pistes.

 

Off the Beaten Track

Le Refuge du Lac de Gers

A gorgeous refuge with restaurant at the foot of the secluded and eye-wateringly beautiful Combe du Gers. Great local food and a sunny terrace are on offer. Accessible by snowshoeing or ski touring. Website

Ferme du Bemont

Well away from the pistes, the Ferme du Bemont is hidden away in the woods above Samoens. It serves up simple, delicious local food in rustic Savoyard surroundings. Access is by hiking, snowshoeing or ski touring depending on conditions and booking is highly recommended. Website
