If you're a good skier, try to do the Onyx run in Flaine because once you're at the top it's very special!. All the amenities worked and it's great to have Netflix option. Ski Loc Sport 2000 allows you to leave skis and boots at the top of Vercland which makes life much easier! Food at La Reposette is exceptional. Great weekend!"

Restaurants tended to open only from Wednesday. I would definitely consider a stay at Bella Vista again when visiting Sixt"

Local buses really good value and we loved the Joux Plane where we walked up to la Bourgeoise and got to see the Golden Eagles flying. The local supermarket is well stocked. "Chalet Louisa was perfect, located in a small hamlet yet only 15 minutes walk to the main square, or a short cycle. The chalet was superbly equipped, everything one could ask for. Lots of space and it was so nice to have a large outdoor area for eating. The resort is such fun in the summer, we used the Alps Accommodation website to find mountain walks, cycle rides and much more, it was spot on. A great chalet and resort to go to both in the summer and winter, so much to do if you like being active and the lakes are well worth a visit if you need some down time. "So much attention to detail in this house – the owners have thought of everything you’re going to need on holiday. Gorgeously decorated and spotlessly clean. We were there as a group of friends and loved lazing by the pool dipping in and out of the heated water. The views are Van Gogh inspired … Provencal rolling hills and an olive grove in the garden! Sooo many beautiful pictures were taken. The kitchen and dining area is really well equipped and we enjoyed meals we made at the property. We also walked into Aups (25 minutes along very quiet country lanes) for the market, shops, coffee shops and restaurants…. lots of choice. One day we did an unforgettable 10km walk in the lower Gorge du Verdon. Wow. For the end of the day … a bottle of local rosé wine, laughter with mates and then a super comfy bed. Perfect. I’ll be back with friends and family."

"This is our second visit to the chalet and it really is such a perfect base for skiing in Samoens. It is in the perfect location on the edge of the village, less than 10 min walk you are in the centre of the village with all the shops and restaurants within easy reach. The ski bus stops at the top of the road and you can also reach the main lifts following the road or taking the path that follows the river. The chalet itself is spotlessly clean and is finished to a very high standard, comfortable beds and plenty of room in the living area for lounging, the kitchen is very well equipped if you like cooking. It is bliss sitting in the hot tub first thing in the morning watching the sun come over the mountains, such a beautiful peaceful setting. We can highly recommend the chalet."

"The exceptional Chalet Falcon gave us everything we needed for a fantastic Christmas break. Being a few minutes' drive up the hillside from Samoens, the views are simply breathtaking in every direction. The large terrace for soaking up those views and the welcome hot tub were a big hit with our group. The chalet itself is beautiful and airy - very spacious, very comfortable and extremely well kitted out for our large party. Particularly appreciated touches were the helpful reminder by the door of what you need on the slopes, the ski boot warmer rack and the table football. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the design of the chalet means there is plenty of communal space, but also quiet areas to relax and soak up those views again. The area itself is so pretty with a lovely market in the traditional French village and great restaurants. I imagine it would be just as spectacular in the summer, particularly as the chalet has its own pool. We'll definitely be returning to Chalet Falcon!"

"Our second stay at Chalet Beziere was even better than our first – and that is really saying something! The new open plan kitchen is stylish; has both brilliant and ambient lighting options; is incredibly well-equipped (including with raclette and fondue sets) and offers stunning views from windows opposite every seating position around the dining room table. The beds are all very comfortable as are the spacious bathrooms, bedrooms and boot rooms. For an inter generational family party of twelve the chalet and its location within easy walking distance of town and convenience stores could not be better. The bus to the lift station that stops just outside is very easy and reliable and there was plenty of parking for our cars. Andy [the property manager] has been the most helpful and welcoming host, responding with great kindness to our additional requests."

"We have spent a wonderful week at Chalet L’Orlaya and have been blessed with fantastic sunny, dry weather. The chalet is superbly equipped and in a fantastic location with stunning views and an easy walk in to Samoens where there are shops, restaurants, bars and so many activities right on your doorstep. We particularly liked the Wednesday open air market and were able to buy fresh produce, and a visit to the botanical gardens is recommended. We visited Chamonix and went up the Aiguilles du Midi where there are views to Mont Blanc, glaciers, and for miles in all directions. Truly stunning! Samoens itself is interesting to walk around, has a lovely park, lakes, even a golf driving range in the lake itself and walks along the Giffre river in both directions. We intend returning and trying other outdoor activities such as rafting, canyoning, tandem paragliding, cycling (although probably hiring an electric bike for that!). But most of all we have loved hiking in glorious scenery, the autumn colours, friendliness of the people and being able to relax with a drink in the fabulous hot tub after a day exploring. The restrictions and uncertainty associated with the lockdown and potential border closure were, however, too drastic to contemplate particularly with having the children with us. The area is beautiful, and we were blessed with wonderful weather; but after Tom's advice I felt we had no option other than to leave. “We stayed at the Chalet Balthazar March 30th - April 6th 2019. It was absolutely perfect for us as a family of 5. Everyone had their own lovely room and en suite which saved a lot of fuss! The chalet was beautifully clean, well-stocked in terms of equipment should you want to cook but we would recommend the company Bon Appetite who delivered frozen food ready to cook which was delicious. The large family room downstairs made it for us - we had plenty of space to chill, watch tv, play pool, go in the hot tub, and could all sit around the table comfortably. The chalet is near the lovely village of Samoëns which is so refreshing after the large purpose built resorts ... and of course the skiing was amazing. It was very easy driving and parking at the lift and hit the slopes at the top.”

“We have been coming to the French Alps skiing for about 20 years and this was the best apartment we have had! The accommodation was of a really high standard and very well-equipped (especially the kitchen). We were able to relax in the evening on the comfy sofas with a choice of English TV channels, a good internet connection and the PlayStation which was really appreciated by our 11 year old son. There was lots of parking and the boulangerie just opposite for lovely morning bread and pastries. It was just a short drive to Samoens to the lift and parking was close to the gondola. We were welcomed by Meghan who gave us some good tips on the local area and was quickly available when we had a query during our stay. We had a fantastic time skiing in the area and would definitely look to book with Alps Accommodation again. Thank you.”

Every little query we had throughout the booking process was answered promptly and in a very helpful way. We arrived well before the official check-in time and found the property ready for us, which was really pleasing. Before that our transfer from the airport with Go Massif was first-class, with a friendly English-speaking driver who took us to the vehicle within 2 minutes of us arriving at the Go Massif desk, and departed immediately for the resort. We were then met by Liam who was waiting at the Mazot when we arrived, very impressive! Liam was in fact most helpful, and at the end of our stay was able to be flexible about our time for leaving the Mazot. We enjoyed The Mazot! Quirky, yes, but warm, welcoming and all the facilities we needed. Even firewood was provided, which was a lovely touch! There was plenty of hot water despite me using the huge bath every day! And we appreciated the welcome pack (particularly the coffee!). So once again, many thanks to you all for a great holiday!”
